Yukon Cigar began as a side project. Musician friends gathered, and a Chemical Sound recording session ensued. The resulting EP, Spooning Noise From A Moose In A Jar, garnered accolades from CBC Radio 3: the song "Hello Soul" was "Track of the Day" for May 30, 2007. "Why not?" we said, and the band became a mainstay -- going on to play top Toronto clubs, including Cameron House, C'est What? and El Mocambo, as well as the awesome NXNE festival.

Weathering several other (ongoing) "side projects," and slight personnel changes, Yukon Cigar burns as bright as ever. There remain countless songs in the fire. There is talk of a new recording. In addition to an ever-changing, always-solid live show, here lies the promise of sweet sounds to come.

Current players are:
Craig Konyu -- Acoustic Guitar, Lead Vocal
Peter Buck -- Electric Guitar
Matt Dewar -- Electric Bass, Vocal
Stephen Scarrow -- Drums, Piano, Vocal

Huge thanks to those who've helped along the way:
